Elegant, bite-sized appetizers featuring creamy Brie coated in crunchy pistachios and drizzled with a sweet-tart raspberry sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 1 wheel Brie cheese (8 oz), chilled
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup raspberry preserves
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cut the chilled Brie into 1-inch cubes, discarding the rind if desired.
  2. Dredge each Brie cube in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with chopped pistachios.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C) and fry bites in batches until golden, about 1-2 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a small saucepan, warm raspberry preserves with water and honey until smooth. Drizzle over the fried Brie bites before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
