Description

A delightful pastry with a swirl of cinnamon, sugar, and a hint of cardamom, baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom
  • 1 egg, beaten for glaze

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and butter until crumbly. Gradually add milk to form a dough.
  3. Roll dough into a rectangle. Sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar, and cardamom. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch rounds.
  4. Place rounds on baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
