For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cardamom
- 1 egg, beaten for glaze
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and butter until crumbly. Gradually add milk to form a dough.
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar, and cardamom. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch rounds.
- Place rounds on baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
