For the Crust:
- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Season the flank steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness.
- Remove steak from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Top with mozzarella slices, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving. Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
