A savory grilled flank steak topped with a fresh Caprese-inspired salad and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.

For the Crust:
- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (ciliegine)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Season the flank steak with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- Let steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
- In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and toss gently.
- Arrange sliced steak on a platter, top with Caprese salad, and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
