A quick and flavorful Asian-inspired bowl featuring tender chicken in a sweet and savory honey soy glaze, served over rice with steamed broccoli and fresh vegetable toppings.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Steam broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Divide cooked rice among bowls, top with chicken, broccoli, shredded carrots, and green onions. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
