Description

A deliciously layered zucchini dish filled with ricotta cheese and topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 large zucchinis, sliced into rounds
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush zucchini slices with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Grill or saute until tender.
  3. In a baking dish, layer grilled zucchini, spoonfuls of ricotta, and marinara sauce. Repeat the layers, ending with mozzarella on top.
  4. Bake for 20-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
