For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, and parsley)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk and chopped herbs until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
- Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
