Description

A sweet and savory flatbread featuring a crispy base topped with maple-glazed pecans, caramelized apples, and melted brie cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 pre-made flatbread or pizza crust
  • 2 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
  • 1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes to crisp slightly.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized, then set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, toss pecans with maple syrup. Spread pecans on a parchment-lined tray and bake for 5 minutes until toasted.
  4. Top the partially baked flatbread with caramelized apples, brie cubes, and maple pecans. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  5. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh thyme, slice, and serve warm.
