For the Crust:
- 1 pre-made flatbread or pizza crust
- 2 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), thinly sliced
- 1 cup brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
- 1/2 cup pecans, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes to crisp slightly.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized, then set aside.
- In a small bowl, toss pecans with maple syrup. Spread pecans on a parchment-lined tray and bake for 5 minutes until toasted.
- Top the partially baked flatbread with caramelized apples, brie cubes, and maple pecans. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh thyme, slice, and serve warm.
