A sweet and savory side dish featuring tender roasted acorn squash halves topped with a buttery maple pecan glaze.

For the Crust:
- 1 medium acorn squash, halved and seeded
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place acorn squash halves cut-side up on the baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and drizzle with maple syrup. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Roast for 25-30 minutes, until squash is tender. Sprinkle pecans over the top during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
