For the Crust:
- 16 large cremini mushrooms, stems removed
- 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine brie, maple syrup, fresh thyme, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Brush each mushroom cap with olive oil and place on baking sheet. Spoon brie mixture into each cap.
- Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs over stuffed mushrooms. Bake for 20-25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs and serve warm.
