Description

A savory, elegant appetizer featuring a creamy cheese log studded with Mediterranean antipasto ingredients, rolled in a vibrant blend of fresh herbs for a burst of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped marinated artichoke hearts, drained
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped Kalamata olives
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mixed fresh herbs (such as parsley, basil, and dill), finely chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, red onion, garlic, oregano, pepper, and salt. Mix until well blended.
  2. Place the mixture on a sheet of plastic wrap and shape it into a log about 8 inches long, wrapping it tightly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  3. Spread the chopped fresh herbs on a clean surface or plate. Unwrap the chilled cheese log and roll it evenly in the herbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Transfer the herb-coated log to a serving platter. Serve immediately with crackers, sliced baguette, or vegetable sticks.
