Description

A warm, savory appetizer featuring baked feta cheese topped with cherry tomatoes, olives, and herbs, perfect for dipping with crusty bread.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz block of feta cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Crusty bread or pita for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the feta block in the center of a small baking dish. Arrange cherry tomatoes and olives around the feta.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the feta, tomatoes, and olives. Sprinkle minced garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes evenly over the top.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the feta is soft and the tomatoes are bursting.
  5. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve immediately with crusty bread or pita for dipping.
