Description

Elegant and savory mini tartlets featuring sweet roasted pears, tangy blue cheese, and a drizzle of honey on a buttery pastry base.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 ripe but firm pears, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out puff pastry and cut into 12 equal squares. Place each square into a greased mini muffin tin, pressing gently to form tartlet shells.
  2. Toss pear slices with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange 2-3 pear slices in each pastry shell.
  3. Sprinkle blue cheese crumbles over the pears in each tartlet. Drizzle lightly with honey and sprinkle with thyme.
  4. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until pastry is golden and pears are tender.
  5. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then drizzle with additional honey before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
