For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 ripe but firm pears, thinly sliced
- 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out puff pastry and cut into 12 equal squares. Place each square into a greased mini muffin tin, pressing gently to form tartlet shells.
- Toss pear slices with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange 2-3 pear slices in each pastry shell.
- Sprinkle blue cheese crumbles over the pears in each tartlet. Drizzle lightly with honey and sprinkle with thyme.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until pastry is golden and pears are tender.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then drizzle with additional honey before serving.
