A rich, indulgent dessert with a buttery biscuit base, creamy caramel center, and smooth chocolate topping—all without turning on the oven.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 200g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (397g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 100g light brown sugar
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 200g milk chocolate, chopped
  • 50g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Mix crushed biscuits with melted butter until combined, then press firmly into the pan. Chill for 15 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and golden syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5-7 minutes until thickened and golden. Pour over the biscuit base and chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Melt milk and dark chocolate with vegetable oil in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth. Pour over the caramel layer, spread evenly, and chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars.
