Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 8 oz block of feta cheese, cut into 8 rectangular pieces
- 8 sheets of phyllo dough, thawed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface. Brush lightly with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush again. Repeat to create a stack of two sheets.
- Place a piece of feta at one end of the phyllo stack. Roll tightly, folding in the sides as you go, to form a neat roll. Repeat with remaining phyllo and feta.
- Arrange rolls on the baking sheet. Brush tops with remaining melted butter and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- While baking, combine honey, chili flakes, and olive oil in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat for 3-5 minutes until fragrant.
- Remove rolls from oven, let cool slightly. Drizzle with chili honey and garnish with parsley. Serve warm.
