Description

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy paprika sauce, served alongside golden crispy fries for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound frozen French fries
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread frozen French fries on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  2. While fries bake, season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in paprika and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Cook for 2-3 minutes to heat through. Serve chicken and sauce over crispy fries, garnished with parsley.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
