Description

A gourmet flatbread featuring sweet pears, creamy brie, and caramelized shallots, finished with a spicy honey drizzle for a perfect balance of flavors.

For the Crust:

  • 1 pre-made flatbread or pizza crust
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 large shallots, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add shallots, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10-12 minutes until caramelized, stirring occasionally.
  3. Spread caramelized shallots evenly over the flatbread. Top with pear slices and brie cheese.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is melted.
  5. While baking, warm honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat for 2-3 minutes to infuse.
  6. Remove flatbread from oven, drizzle with hot honey, and garnish with fresh thyme. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
