Description

A simple yet elegant dessert featuring ripe pears wrapped in flaky puff pastry with melted brie and a drizzle of honey.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 ripe but firm pears, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/4-inch wedges
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 2 tbsp honey, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to a 10×12-inch rectangle. Cut into 6 equal squares.
  3. Place a few pear slices and brie cubes in the center of each pastry square. Drizzle each with about 1 tsp honey.
  4. Fold the pastry corners over the filling, pinching edges to seal. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with a mix of sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly, then drizzle with additional honey before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
