For the Crust:
- 2 ripe but firm pears (such as Bosc or Anjou), peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 4 equal squares.
- Arrange pear slices in the center of each pastry square, leaving a border. Top with brie pieces and drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Fold the pastry corners over the filling, pinching edges to seal. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly, then drizzle with more honey and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
