Description

A sweet and savory dessert featuring ripe pears wrapped in flaky puff pastry with creamy brie and a drizzle of honey.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 tbsp honey, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out puff pastry sheet. Cut into 4 equal squares.
  3. Place brie slices in center of each pastry square. Top with pear slices, sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and drizzle with 1 tbsp honey.
  4. Fold pastry corners over pears, sealing edges with egg wash. Brush tops with remaining egg wash.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with honey and serve warm.
