For the Crust:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat in the cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool before cutting.
