For the Crust:

  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese, chilled
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp honey for drizzling
  • Crackers or sliced baguette for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the chilled brie into 1-inch cubes, ensuring each piece has rind on at least one side.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix chopped pistachios, panko, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Dip each brie cube into the beaten egg, then roll in the pistachio mixture to coat evenly.
  5. Place coated brie bites on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden and slightly melted.
  6. Remove from oven, drizzle with honey, and serve immediately with crackers or baguette slices.
