Description

Elegant, creamy Brie cheese rounds coated in crunchy pistachios and baked until warm, then drizzled with a sweet and tangy fig jam glaze. Perfect as an appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of Brie cheese, chilled
  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crackers or sliced baguette for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the chilled Brie into 1/2-inch thick rounds. In a shallow dish, mix chopped pistachios, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each Brie round into the beaten egg, then coat evenly with the pistachio mixture. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is soft but not melted through.
  5. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, warm the fig jam with balsamic vinegar over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  6. Arrange baked Brie rounds on a serving platter, drizzle with the fig jam glaze, and sprinkle with fresh thyme. Serve immediately with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
