Description
A hearty and indulgent dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy, spiced sauce served with crispy golden fries.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound frozen french fries
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread frozen fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in paprika, cayenne pepper, and cumin, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Serve chicken and sauce over the crispy fries, garnished with fresh parsley.
