Description

A savory-sweet tart featuring roasted carrots on a nutty tahini crust, drizzled with a fragrant orange blossom glaze.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom water
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix flour, tahini, olive oil, water, and salt until a dough forms. Press into a tart pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  2. Toss carrots with olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper. Roast on a baking sheet for 20 minutes until tender.
  3. Whisk honey and orange blossom water in a small bowl. Drizzle over baked crust.
  4. Arrange roasted carrots on crust, sprinkle with feta and parsley. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
