Description

A gourmet flatbread featuring creamy Camembert, sweet fig jam, aromatic roasted garlic, and crispy fried sage for a perfect blend of savory and sweet flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 pre-made flatbread or pizza dough
  • 1 whole head of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 200g Camembert cheese, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons fig jam
  • 1012 fresh sage leaves
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh arugula for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30 minutes until soft.
  2. While garlic roasts, roll out flatbread dough on a baking sheet. Spread fig jam evenly over the dough.
  3. Squeeze roasted garlic cloves from their skins and spread over the fig jam. Top with sliced Camembert cheese.
  4. Bake flatbread in the oven for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  5. In a small pan, melt butter over medium heat. Fry sage leaves for 1-2 minutes until crisp, then set aside on paper towels.
  6. Remove flatbread from oven, top with fried sage leaves, season with salt and pepper, and garnish with arugula if desired. Slice and serve warm.
