Description

Decadent, moist muffins loaded with rich chocolate chunks and a sweet, salty caramel swirl, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined; fold in chocolate chunks.
  5. Fill muffin cups halfway, add a teaspoon of caramel sauce, then top with remaining batter and swirl with more caramel.
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
