A twist on the classic sweet churro, these savory versions are crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and served with a creamy whipped brie dip drizzled with spicy chili honey.

For the Crust:
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms. Return to low heat and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Transfer dough to a bowl and let cool slightly. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth. Stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat oil in a deep pot to 375°F. Pipe dough into 4-inch strips using a star tip and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- For the dip, blend brie and heavy cream until smooth and whipped. In a small saucepan, warm honey with chili flakes for 5 minutes. Drizzle chili honey over whipped brie and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
