A creamy and comforting lasagna featuring tender chicken, a rich white sauce, and layers of pasta baked to golden perfection.

For the Crust:

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups whole milk, warmed
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 2 minutes until golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in warm milk until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, and pepper until sauce is silky.
  5. Spread a thin layer of white sauce in the baking dish. Layer 4 noodles, half the chicken, and 1/3 of the sauce. Repeat layers, ending with sauce on top.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
