Succulent sea scallops seared to perfection and served with a vibrant, tangy lime cilantro sauce.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. While scallops cook, whisk together lime juice, cilantro, garlic, honey, red pepper flakes, and extra virgin olive oil in a small bowl.
  4. Transfer seared scallops to a plate and drizzle with the zesty lime cilantro sauce.
  5. Serve immediately while hot.
