Description

A warm, gooey brie cheese baked in a skillet with roasted garlic, fresh thyme, and a drizzle of spicy-sweet chili honey, perfect for sharing as an appetizer.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 whole brie cheese wheel (8 oz)
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Crusty bread or crackers for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30 minutes until soft.
  2. Place brie wheel in a small cast-iron skillet. Drizzle with remaining olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Top with thyme sprigs.
  3. Bake brie in oven for 10-12 minutes until melted and bubbly. Meanwhile, mix honey and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  4. Squeeze roasted garlic cloves from skins and spread over melted brie. Drizzle with chili honey and serve immediately with bread or crackers.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
