For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz smoked salmon, chopped
- 1/2 cup herbed cream cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tbsp capers, drained
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle. Spread herbed cream cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Top with smoked salmon, dill, capers, and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll the pastry tightly from the long side into a log. Join the ends to form a wreath shape, sealing the seam.
- Brush the wreath with beaten egg. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
