Description

A quick and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender chicken, crisp bell peppers, and a spicy-savory sauce, served over fluffy steamed rice.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha or chili paste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha; set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add bell peppers and onion; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender. Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Return chicken to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture and toss everything together until well-coated and heated through, about 2 minutes. Drizzle with sesame oil and stir.
  5. Serve the stir-fry hot over steamed rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
