Description
A warm, cheesy, and savory pull apart bread filled with spinach, artichokes, and a blend of melted cheeses, perfect for sharing as an appetizer or side.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 loaf sourdough bread, unsliced
- 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a serrated knife, make crosswise cuts in the bread loaf about 1 inch apart, being careful not to cut all the way through. Rotate the loaf 90 degrees and repeat to create a grid pattern.
- In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, artichoke hearts, mozzarella, Parmesan, cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Gently spread the mixture into the cuts of the bread, ensuring it fills the gaps evenly.
- Brush the top of the bread with melted butter and wrap the loaf in foil, leaving the top slightly open.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste.
