For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and spinach, cooking until spinach wilts. Remove from heat and stir in feta, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out puff pastry sheet and spread the spinach-feta mixture evenly over one half. Fold the other half over and press edges to seal.
- Cut the filled pastry into 1-inch strips. Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.
