Description

A fiery-sweet chicken dish with a sticky honey-chili glaze, caramelized edges, and a devilishly spicy kick.

For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, chili garlic sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to make the glaze.
  2. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Pour the glaze over the chicken. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and caramelizes onto the chicken, about 10-12 minutes.
  4. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot over rice or with steamed vegetables.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
