Description
Juicy chicken breasts pan-seared and glazed with a sweet, savory, and sticky honey garlic sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F). Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each piece. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, flipping once, until chicken is well-coated and glazed.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately with rice or steamed vegetables.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste.
