Description

Juicy chicken breasts pan-seared and glazed with a sweet, savory, and sticky honey garlic sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F). Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each piece. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, flipping once, until chicken is well-coated and glazed.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately with rice or steamed vegetables.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
