For the Crust:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- 1 medium jalapeño, finely diced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon fleur de sel
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Spread strawberry jam evenly over the surface, then sprinkle diced jalapeño on top.
- Fold the pastry in half lengthwise to enclose the filling. Cut into 1-inch wide strips. Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with fleur de sel.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.
