Description

A festive and delicious focaccia wreath with a gooey Camembert center, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 500g strong white bread flour
  • 7g fast-action yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 300ml warm water
  • 1 wheel of Camembert cheese
  • 2 tbsp rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sea salt flakes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt. Add the olive oil and warm water, then mix to form a dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan). Knock back the dough and shape it into a wreath on a baking tray, leaving a hole in the center for the Camembert.
  4. Place the Camembert in the center of the wreath. Make deep dimples in the dough with your fingers, then drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with rosemary and sea salt.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and the Camembert is molten. Serve warm for tearing and sharing.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
