For the Crust:
- 1 loaf French bread
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup butter (softened)
- 2 medium tomatoes (diced)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic. Spread evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the diced tomatoes and chopped basil over the garlic butter. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Slice and serve warm.
