Description

A decadent appetizer featuring savory mushrooms, creamy brie, and aromatic truffle oil, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups mixed mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 tbsp truffle oil
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in truffle oil.
  3. Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle. Spread mushroom mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Arrange brie slices on top.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly from the long side, sealing the edge with egg wash. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush the top with egg wash.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
