Description

A festive and savory ring made with flaky crescent dough, seasoned ground turkey, and tangy cranberry sauce, perfect for holiday gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground turkey with onion, sage, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until turkey is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess liquid.
  3. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on the baking sheet with wide ends overlapping in the center and points facing outward.
  4. Spread cooked turkey mixture over the wide ends of the dough, then top with cranberry sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck under the center to form a ring. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent ring is golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
