Description

A decadent dessert that combines the intense richness of dark chocolate with the nutty, earthy depth of roasted tahini, creating a harmonious bite that leaves no leftovers.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
  • 100g roasted tahini
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50g all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate, tahini, and butter together over a double boiler, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually pour in the chocolate-tahini mixture, stirring constantly.
  4. Sift in the flour and sea salt, folding gently until just incorporated. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly fudgy. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
