For the Crust:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 lb frozen french fries
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
- In a bowl, coat chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, then dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken bites for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, hot sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the creamy dipping sauce.
- Serve hot chicken bites alongside crispy fries with the dipping sauce on the side.
