Description

Creamy whipped ricotta spread over toasted baguette slices, topped with a sweet and spicy cranberry hot honey and crunchy toasted walnuts.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast until golden, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, combine ricotta, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and fluffy.
  3. In a small saucepan, warm honey, dried cranberries, and red pepper flakes over low heat until cranberries soften and mixture is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  4. Spread whipped ricotta on each crostini, drizzle with cranberry hot honey, and top with toasted walnuts and fresh thyme.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
