Description
A decadent twist on nachos, featuring melted Brie cheese, fresh blackberries, a drizzle of spicy hot honey, and a crunchy walnut topping. Perfect for a shareable appetizer or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 wheel (8 oz) Brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small pieces
- 1 bag (10 oz) tortilla chips (preferably sturdy, like restaurant-style)
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey and red pepper flakes. Heat over low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Spread tortilla chips evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Scatter pieces of Brie over the chips, ensuring even distribution.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the Brie is melted and bubbly.
- While the nachos bake, melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add chopped walnuts and cook, stirring frequently, for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and lightly toasted. Remove from heat.
- Remove nachos from oven. Top with fresh blackberries and toasted walnuts. Drizzle with the hot honey mixture.
- Garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For a milder hot honey, reduce red pepper flakes. For extra crunch, add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt before serving.
