Description

Sweet and savory appetizer featuring feta cheese wrapped in candy-like pastry, baked until golden, and drizzled with a spicy-sweet chili-peach glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz block feta cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup peach preserves
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce (like sriracha)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut puff pastry into squares large enough to wrap each feta cube. Place a feta cube in the center of each square, fold corners over, and seal edges. Brush with egg wash.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes until pastry is puffed and golden. Let cool slightly.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine peach preserves, chili sauce, honey, and lime juice. Heat over medium until simmering and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Drizzle glaze over baked feta bites and garnish with fresh mint. Serve warm.
