Description

Crispy, caramelized Brussels sprouts on skewers drizzled with a rich walnut honey sauce, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Wooden or metal skewers (soaked if wooden)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Thread Brussels sprouts onto skewers, leaving space between each.
  4. Place skewers on the baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, turning once, until caramelized and tender.
  5. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine honey, walnuts, and balsamic vinegar. Heat over medium-low until warm and well blended.
  6. Drizzle walnut honey over the skewers and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra crunch, toast the walnuts before adding to the honey.
