Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz andouille sausage, sliced
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil. Cook sausage slices for 4-5 minutes until browned; remove and set aside.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook 2 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the skillet. Add onion and bell pepper; sauté 4-5 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
- Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir for 1 minute.
- Slowly pour in broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Add heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne. Simmer 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; stir until warmed through. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Divide cooked ramen into bowls. Top with creamy Cajun sauce, shrimp, and sausage. Garnish with green onions and parsley.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add a dash of hot sauce at the end.
