Description
A perfect balance of savory, sweet, and spicy, this flatbread combines creamy brie, tart dried cranberries, crunchy toasted walnuts, and a kick of hot honey on a crispy base.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 pre-made flatbread or naan (about 8–10 inches)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 ounces brie cheese, sliced
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the flatbread on the baking sheet and brush evenly with olive oil.
- Arrange the brie slices evenly over the flatbread.
- Sprinkle the dried cranberries and chopped walnuts over the brie.
- Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the flatbread is crispy and the brie is melted and bubbling.
- While the flatbread bakes, make the hot honey drizzle: In a small bowl, mix the honey with red pepper flakes.
- Remove flatbread from oven, drizzle with the hot honey, and garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary if desired.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste. For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes or a drizzle of sriracha. For a milder version, omit the pepper flakes.
